I’m one lucky duck. Not only do I have a chef for a boyfriend and get to meet chefs from all over. I was asked to travel to Michigan and take some shots of some food for a Shahi Indian Cuisine and of course I was able to taste test the items to!
The food is about as authentic as it gets, and believe me I’m an Indian food critic. The dishes derive from Punjab a northern region of India. Everything that came out of that kitchen from the buffet to the menu items were absolutely divine.
If you’re ever in the Saginaw area its a must!
This beautiful woman is the master behind the scenes of this authentic Indian restaurant. She has many years of experience in the kitchen and it truly shows within the dishes.

Tandoori Chicken is a very traditional dish prepared by marinating chicken in yogurt and then seasoned with spices to create its rich flavor and color. Its not only delicious its a diet friendly option.
Whats not to love about garlic naan… its a simple addiction of mine. This nann pairs well with just about every dish except dessert. Hope you like Garlic!
Chicken Tikka Masala is a comfort food of mine, its perfect for anyway but especially a cold or rainy one.

Vegetable Biryani is the Indian version of fried rice, every bite is different and flavorful.
Chai is what brings everyone together. Its served almost between every meal you will eat in India- I know this because I was there.
Mango Lassi its a personal favorite and the kids love it!
