If you have not read the book 17 Day Diet you should. Its a pretty easy read, and it really inspires you to eat clean. Two years ago I lived by this book and lost over 40lbs, so I know this works. Start :236lbs Finish :175lbs 5’10
After traveling to India I think I got down to about 173lbs which felt amazing. I know I’m capable of doing this all over again. This past year was very difficult, and I think that if I had spoken to someone about it they would have diagnosed me as depressed. Moving to northern Virginia has been very stressful, it started off exciting and new but then I realized I didn’t have my family and friends anymore. Ginder and I turned to food, we ate out a lot and made our dates revolve around eating and drinking. Im so uncomfortable and I have to do something about it.
About 2 months ago I started a fitness group called Orange Theory, I’m completely obsessed with this program and my trainer Raven. Its a 1 hour class full of intense cardio and weights. I’m not a runner or jogger so I do the power walker portion so my workout is not as intense as others, but its a good fit for my body. I can’t say I have lost any pounds but I know I’m gaining muscle. I like to go 4-5 days a week because it keeps me busy and makes me feel good.
Like I said I’m so sick of being heavier, and I know I’m a yo-yo but maybe onetime I will be able to keep the weight off. I have a very bad right foot and I’m hoping if I take some weight off it may help. I’m not comfortable to announce my weight right now but hopefully when 20lbs come off I will let you know the starting weight… which Orange Theory has- I really don’t even know.
Anyways, this is why I want to do the 17 Day diet again, it really works. They believe in no carbs or alcohol for the first cycle of 17 days and yes it can be difficult, but when you read the book you will understand why its so important.
I will do whatever it takes to look like this. (The day I left for India)
